I lost a pumpkin to a split this morning. It's 33 days old and 676 lbs est. and I'd like to harvest some viable seeds from it. How many days do I have to keep it growing in order for the seeds to be viable? Or would it be better to try to duplicate the desired seed cross on another pumpkin this season?

I think tat the pumpkins CAN have at least some viable seeds after dap 30 but for higher chances wait till 40+ dap

I've heard 30 is possible, 40 is likely, 50+ is definite. If there are any "full" seeds (actually solid, not the flimsy white shells) id definitely save them. 676 at day 33 is insane, would be great if you could keep some. But there's also still time, id set another one, you've got potentially 60+ days, you can still get a bit of fruit, and likely a bunch of seeds from it too

I hope you have plenty of your own 885s left, lol.
