Something to think about. I am always revising my methods, and hence my goals it seems... Are your goals too high? or too low??

Too low, butt this year I intend to grow my own seeds with the greatest enthusiasm and belief in them, as I have done next to nothing to improve conditions for OTHERS' seeds I may grow; Butt, to bury all vines with Myco and stake all plants with bamboo and reduce fruit quantity to 2, then 1, more-immediately and see to NO lapses in fertilizing nor care will be top priorities. I have 10 Gerry seed jars looking at me, right now, numerous more downstairs and a new batch of SS Mix awaiting my next move, lol. I MAY even direct-seed a few or all! Later---Good question, too---eric g

My goal is the same every year, have some fun and shoot for a new PB. Keep it simple and just enjoy.

My goal is as always try to grow a bigger fruit and teach my kids to enjoy the garden. We make it a family project every year. If we end up at the scale in the fall it's a bonus.

This is an interesting question. I suppose in 6 months ask me again, and I'll tell you if they were too high or not! But for now, I truly think they're all attainable. Not easy, cause then I'll ignore the little things, and not impossible, cause then I'll lose hope. But just in that range of hard but possible. I've been saying PBs are the goal, and my PB is from 2021, so that doesn't work lol But this is a new year I'm sure I'll get it this time!

Goals are the best foundation for a journey, Wether it be life or growing the biggest/longest fruit. My goals are Colorado state record tomato, with PB as a secondary goal. For me I feel this goal is just right.

Goal this year is to set a PB (or two).

I agree with you Altitude (Scott). A goal has to be believable, achievable and conceivable. A goal achieved is no longer motivated, that is why we should always set a new goal once achieved. Just my 2 cents lol.

My goal the last five years is just to try and get one to a Weigh off. This year I had disease analysis's done and based on the results Western Lab recommended I will apply Azoxystrobin fungicide in the planting hole and a couple of times during the season, i.e. drenches. From the beginning, my goal has always been the same, my methods are the only thing that changes. We'll see what happens this season.

Iowa State Fair Record, Iowa State Record which would also be a personal best, and get back in the top 5 for grower of the year would be nice as well!

Ha. Garwolf, I adjust my goal based on whether I think my methods are any good... you have a steady goal while adjusting your methods!
Have a good year you guys.
