            | agteacher | Princeville, IL | Are male flowers good for more than one day if refrigerated? Picked some from several different plants tonight and know I won’t use them all tomorrow morning | 7/8/2024 10:48:23 PM |
            | pumpkinpal2 | Syracuse, NY | Never hurts to ask.Never hurts to answer.
Sucks to hear either, usually, lol!
I had fun searching on BP:
 male pollen
Might not answer you directly, butt perhaps, in there somewhere might be that 'nugget' and in my negative experience about it, I have poll'd many times VERY late in the day such as 1PM, 2, 7...and had success years ago. I'm saying a lot lately 'I'd hafta say...'
so **If the pollen is fluffy, pollination is 'No Tuffy'!** Becoming an ambassador, try at 1, 2-3 days and tell us the result, as a major update about it and anyone else could certainly do the same! Me - I've got 2.5 done, lol---eric g

            | Howard | Nova Scotia | The only time I remember something like this was several years ago. A grower came a great distance with a cooler to get some of our male flowers off a certain plant before opening. We picked them late morning and he wasn't using them until the next day. I assume it worked because never heard otherwise? Good luck. | 7/9/2024 7:25:50 AM |
            | Garwolf | Kutztown, PA | Or, he just wanted some pretty yellow flowers. It seems to be consensus that they'll last in the fridge at least overnight. | 7/9/2024 9:43:06 AM |
            | quinn | Saegertown Pa. | I’ve had good pollinations up to three to four days leaving them in the refrigerator | 7/9/2024 3:10:04 PM |
            | pumpkinpal2 | Syracuse, NY | Howard - Is that certain Little Shop of Horrors plant still in your back yard? They say that 'Competition Can Be Fierce';Hmmm, Ha ha ha -
I will try this WITHOUT refrigeration if I think of it in the near future - I'm not yet using any L-M-L MG on plants so females are few thus far. Okay, 'cause, gotta keep up! eg

 PS---Yay, Quinn!!!

            | Garwolf | Kutztown, PA | If I can remember to do it, I'll try it on my 150 plant which is throwing a lot of females right now and report back. People ask this question all the time. I usually say that the consensus is males are good for one overnight in the fridge. I've never tried it. | 7/10/2024 9:02:43 AM |
            | Little Ketchup | Grittyville, WA | Thanks for that tidbit, quinn... Haven't given it a good try yet myself. | 7/10/2024 3:55:58 PM |
