Ok - here's my up or down question. I'm going to install drip tape. To me, it makes sensed to install it with emitter side down. I say that because maybe algae might not grow on the emitter slits if some remain wet after watering. Seems like algae and bacterial slime inside the tape could become a big deal. What are folks doing to mitigate this? And should I install the tape holes up or holes down?

Unless you are using drip tape that has double sided emitters, follow brand specific manufacturer recommendations.

I was told when I bought my drip tape to have the emitters up.
