With deep regret, I wish to let everyone know that former PGPGA treasurer Marvin Hicks has passed. He was one of the nicest persons that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He will truly be missed. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear the news Larry. I fondly remember our first weigh off with my twins in 2001. I had many questions prior to the event and Marv was a kind sole and gave me a call at home and we chatted pumpkins for a long time. It was always a pleasure to see him at the Altoona event.

Goodbye Marv. You are already missed. I cannot begin to tell all of you what a really great guy Marv was, I met him through pumpkins and have known him for years. He was a long time officer in the PGPA. I spoke with his wife who told me he passed in his sleep. Everyone who ever met him knows what a friendly caring person he was, Very sad to know he is gone.
