Hi guys.
If a flower has a little seeds in it, is it possible that there still can be growing a record pumpkin out of it?
regards from germany

I cut these off not sure if anyone has tried to grow one out. I think they have and it didn't turn out well.

I think Josiah Brandt grew his 2185 off of a pumpkin with seeds in the blossom. I found seeds in the blossom of my best pumpkin today. Might grow it out. I think it is a 2009 wallace trait.

I sort of don't want to mention this, but I heard that seeds in the blossom indicate the plant is under stress, unbalanced soil can be enough to do it.

Keep us posted, I'm curious to see how the blossom seeds will grow!

Temperature stress during formation in the tip. That's why you'll see them at the same time on different plants.

I'm about 50/50 with them, which is worse odds than I like, so I'll avoid them if possible. Some are way worse than others too.

Its a gamble. My guess would also be 50/50 that it will have a blossom end problem that will end the season early.

They would be my last choice. I dont think of them as viable options. A solid blossom on a secondary would be better, in my opinion.

Both my 2185 and 2077 had seeds in the blossom

Hi Josiah Brandt
Nice to read from you.
My pumpkinflower had also a little deformed 4 lobes.
Was your flowers symetrical with seeds or deformed with seeds..?

I think deformed with seeds is a lot worse as symetrical with seeds..

They were deformed, I actually thought it would cause a weak point on the blossom of the 2077, I checked it every day waiting for a split to happen but it never happened.
