I am trying this out for the first time. I have already exploded two bulbs. I think it's from water dripping down off the greenhouse top. What kind of bulbs do well in a moist environment?

I use ceramic heat lamps. This year I will also be trying some old halogen waterproof bulbs.

I’ve used the 175 Watt Infared ones for a few years and they work great in my small starter hoophouses.

Last year I also tried using a heat lamp in side a large clay pot on the ground next to the plant. I found that the heat lamp heated up the clay pot nicely and kept the hoop nice and warm.

When I hang the heat lamps I usually do not have them directly overhead and far enough away so the nothing gets too hot and burns.

I thought an air heater set on low did a great.
I liked that it gently moved the leaves I figured they would hold up better when the hut was removed. And excess humidity was not a problem.

I use the infared bulbs, they do not explode as easily. I had the same problem with the standard bulbs.

I used a heat bulb in a cheap metal clamp lamp. I put it over two flat, rectangular concrete paver stones. Then I put that on top of a piece of foam insulation, as I didn't want the heat to dissipate into the ground. It worked well for my 4 foot wide, 3.5 foot high, 8 foot long, triangular greenhouse.

I put bulbs in a landscape lighting fixture that pushes into the ground then place a tera cotta pot over it and then a cheap pizza pan from the dollar store over the pot to block heat from escaping out of the drainage hole which is now facing upwards. They can get quite hot and give off great heat. I also use the little heaters if it gets really cold.
