Ya sure can fluffy...field pumpkin category...Throw it in the backseat of the fiat..set the big one right on the roof ...duct tape it...and off you’ll go...(don’t duct tape the doors shut...)

Fluffy, you are a whiner. No one here is impressed by your big pumpkin (300 pounds?) that you cant figure out how to get to a weigh off. You might think it is huge and a weighoff should reschedule just for you. And growers would line up to get your 300 pounder to a weighoff. Maybe if you were at 2600 pounds. But the fact is...95% of the growers grow bigger than you. And nearly all of them if not all, could get a 300 pounder to a weighoff with no help. I certainly would not help you...I have grown over yours with absolutely no care. If this was your first year..it would make a difference. But 10 years? Helping you would seem like I have a leech, attaching to me. This post may seem cruel...but you keep posting here like this is the biggest thing out there. Sorry...you don't have the attitude for really big pumpkins.

I thought it was supposed to be fun for everyone. Come out to WA. 300 lb might pay for your gas! State fair pays prize money. One way, anyhow:) The youtube video will pay for the rest...

hoepfner--Have fun and dont hurt yourself. Bnot is usually a fun guy but a lot of us get behind on our laundry this time of year there's nothing else to wear so we put on our grumpy pants. Anyhow you dont want to see us without pants yikes so forgive us. Enjoy the good & fun people you will meet if you make it to a weigh off.

Yes, boo on bnot, I was over the line. I appologize for that. This is the third thread on similiar subject starting with the first about rescheduling a weighoff just for fluffy. According to pumpkinfantic John Hoepfner weighed his first pumpkin in 2014 at a weight of 89 pounds. In 2017 he weighed for the 2nd time with a weight of 171 pounds. He reached the weighoff with the assistance of the Martins. I know a grower gets excited when they grow bigger, but there has been at least 5 years of experience. I would expect that the grower should be able to figure out the logistics in that time.

With a few people helping you can get a 400 pounder up on a good pallet then lift it into a truck. You can put two long boards through the pallet 4 people can use them as handles to lift .If you dont know anyone ask a high school for volunteers

Never give up! Discouraged sometimes. But most grower's goals are a pesonal best each season, and it sounds like you are achieving this. We all started out somewhere, our 1st competitive pumpkin I think was 264#. Mari Lou

Hey Oak Grove: I just reread the Post's that you sent to me..I accept your apologies...I really do not expect anything from anybody. All I really would like is to be able to befriend someone while them helping me out...I really am sorry if I sound like a whiner...I really am not...however, I am really sorry about your thinking that I have a bad attitude. If so again Me-a cope Mae cope Mae maxi-ma cope.... Maybe I should get into the Sugar Pumpkin Business....the again, I really think that some of my problem is the lateness of the year of the Weigh-offs and the logistics of the sites...i.e., 100 mi and 150 miles etec...Win my case I would like for the Green Bay Weigh-off to be in the middle of Sept... enough said...Trust no hard feelings...John

I was wrong...I will post more on this thread. Without expecting someone to do it for you John...lets break down the situation and figure out where you are. First of all...how much weight are we talking about...what is the OTT of your pumpkin. Second...what is your budget for transport?
