Just got some big pumpkin seeds and boy are they big. Should I sand the seeds put them in a plastic baggie or put them in dirt

this discussion might help. Do not ruin the end of the cot leaves where the roots come out. If you have any extra seeds , experiment to see what works best for you.

Plastic bag method is fast and works very well IF you do it correctly. Dirt is less exact and IMO easier, but it takes a couple more days. If you have a bunch of the same seeds you could try both methods, then select the best plants later. If you only have one seed, you need to test first with trial seeds cause it’s getting close to go time.

80 to 85 degrees and damp but not wet will get those seeds to sprout fast
