Are there any 582 Hester seeds left out there? This one was red hot for a few years, but has faded out of the contemporary gene pool, despite having grown a 1458dmg in 2003.
I would also consider some descendants as the next best thing... 1458 Whittier 1186 Whittier 1078 Jutras And there was a seed from Michigan that was 1458 x 1420 LaRue... I think it was the 910 Schwartz

The 1458 was a world record weight in it's time unfortunately it developed a tiny blossom end split. The walls were very thin as were most AG's back then.

If I can get one to grow, I will cross it with a 1625 Gantner or 1885 Barron

I found a 910.5 Swarts in a box of Dads seeds I can't stand to throw out. Plan to start some of these oldies myself. Sounds like something fun to at least try... If your interested Truckin shandy4757@gmail.com its yours if you want it.

Truckin... what a great idea for an old seed to try. And another worth digging out... 1301.4 Whittier 2003 is impressive... for shape and color.

Yeah, the 961 Daletas was pretty popular after it produced the 1301. Another one lost in the sands of time.
