It looks like more growers will be thinking about CO2 boosting after seeing Eddy’s success with his 2255lb pumpkin.

Building a greenhouse and installing a CO2 generator might be beyond the budget for some of us, but I have an alternative. On Tuesday, I will be receiving a shipment of Lithovit fertilizers for re-sale through my website that is currently in development. I will have Lithovit Standard, Boron05, and a limited supply of Amino25 available. Lithovit is finely milled dolomite, which is rich in calcium carbonate. Applied as a foliar fertilizer, the particles are able to penetrate the leaf surface. When the plant absorbs the calcium, it’s byproduct is CO2, already inside the leaf. This provides the benefit of CO2 boosting, without the investment of building a greenhouse.

I will be at the Tennessee Green Industries Expo next week with samples.

A few years we did some trials in closed greenhouses. 350ppm to 380ppm without and the other greenhouse with the lithovit we saw numbers as high as 500ppm and lasting for a couple days.
Its no 1000 to 1500ppm's but we definitely saw a spike.

I've used it ever sense.

You’ve got a distributorship that is registered in 5 states (last I checked) on the West Coast. There’s a guy doing ecommerce out of Minnesota, but I’m not sure about the scope of his operation. I’ve received questions from the manufacturer that were forwarded from a farmer in Iowa because he was having trouble with his organic certification due to a label issue. My company has United States compliant labels from the manufacturer in Germany. We have the product registered in Tennessee and registration pending in North Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia and Ohio. We are working on several other states, as we are aiming to be the exclusive bulk distributor east of the Mississippi River in addition to fulfilling ecommerce orders from across the country.

Been using Lithovit since 2009. That year we grew our 1678# & finished second behind the 1725 Harp for the Orange Jacket. It's a great product that will always be part of our foliar program.

Same here, been using lithovit for years and it’s just part of our rotation of foliar products.

I am interested but would like to know more. I know I have sprayed my tomato plants before with a calcium carbonate solution (helps with blossom end rot). The difficulty with my leaf spraying was the alkalinity of CaC03 was causing leaf issues. What is the ph of Lithovit? Good luck on your new website..i have a feeling you will busy this winter.

Wow, you guys are brutal- hijacking the thread to promote my competitor. Lucky for me he charges too much. I import through Baltimore, which is 90 miles away, so my shipping costs are minimal.

I don’t think it was hijack. You got me interested. I tried going to your website but it appears not to be up yet. So I did a search on google for Lithovit. Your competitor has number 1 ranking for search engine. Price is not the only thing I look at for where to do business. Customer service rates real high with me. You have a difficult project ahead truckinpumpkin. To compete on the eCommerce level is going to a challenge. You are starting 6 years later. Competetitor website registered in 2012. I don’t know if you are familiar with SEO rankings but age is one factor. I wish you success but it could take a lot of work.

I worked in warehousing & logistics for 8 years prior to starting my current job in law enforcement. I'm well prepared to satisy e-commerce orders and I have the same brand of products for a lower price. The website will be up soon after I return from Tennessee.

TruckinPunkin do not get discouraged by SEO. Google is starting to put more weight on locations nearest the user and by number of google reviews. I would encourage you to get your reviews up to 20 as soon as possible. I for one will check out your site when it is up and running. You seem like one of the good guys in this hobby.
