Ugh, i cant seem to get the hang of this. The newest leafs on the newest part of my pumpkin plant vines have a shriveled bloated look and several with holes? One leaf is almost compleltey destroyed Is it getting eaten, diseased? Three of my biggest plants are like this only on the newest leafs.
Havenottoliar fed in awhile. Plants have sevins dust on them and imacloprid inseticide in the ground. Check my diary for more info please.

By your description, it sounds like heat damage.

I looked at your diary. I think entry number 25 is damage from a super concentrated foliar fertilizer or pesticide spray. Entry 26 is definitely heat damage on the tips.

i am not a dust kinda guy but have liked Imidacloprid forever. i DO hate what it does to even cucumber beetles and i dread killing bees; i would pull up a lawnchair and watch the plant(s) awhile and see what's doing it. cuke beetles know NO boundaries or times of day. i think that they 'get the ball rolling' and cause initial damage that looks like bird shot/dozens of little holes in the leaves, usually clustered, as once the leaf is DAMAGED, it becomes more prone to their (AND other insects'/slugs') feeding frenzy. if i saw a cuke beetle on your plant right now? i would either apply more Grubex or whatever you used in/on the soil and water it in, as it is a systemic, and your plants are small enough that you could remove all SPENT male flowers to keep from killing the bees, but not ones needed for pollination; i dunno about Sevin dust, but, it seems that wherever it is NOT, an insect will dig in. good luck---eg

Rick, saw your diary, you need to unbury that pollinated pumpkin ASAP. You want the stem and vine to breathe. I’d also remove the rotting blossom pedals. Focus on just burying at nodes so you can see the main vine and most importantly the stem of the pumpkin. Don’t bury the pumpkin!
