I started four plants this year which is a lot of work but what I like about this is it increases your odds. Something your best seed in your best area doesn't work out quite the way you expected. I'm happy to have two nice kins started but the June 30 start on my 802 doesn't seem to be taking.I have another on the main I'll start tomorrow but the 4th side vine is about twice the size, very strong and has a nice pollination on it.
My question is if I use this vine as my main should I stop all the secondaries and the main right away to push back to this vine to give it energy or let everything grow normally.
Any help appreciated

Go down about 10 spots in the general discussion and look for two posts about secondaries and you should get all the info you're looking for. About 50 answers between the two posts. Please don't start this all over again.

Do you have tertiaries you can grow off that secondary?

Personally, I'd let the secondaries before the secondary with the pumpkin grow as normal. I'd also treat that secondary as the new main or at least grow tertiaries off of it to help feed it if you haven't plucked them already. Hard to tell not knowing your plant size or seeing it about stopping secondary growth past the fruit.

Ok. Thanks everyone ! Got a lot of info off previous posts.
The vine I'm using is over 20 feet and I do have tertiaries on this vine but only afew before the fruit. I'll start training it as the main
