My first true leaf is very slow coming out. Is this happening with everyone else?

Wile Coyote, I looked at your diary, and that is totally normal. The subsequent leaves always outgrow the first leaves on my plants. You're in good shape; keep it growing!

Wile, you've probably forgotten more than I know. Just wanted to ask a question about your cots. Looks like they have rotted a little, is that from keeping the seed too wet/not warm enough germ temps (I did the same)? Not busting on you, just trying to learn to interpret the plant! I wouldn't think it matters in the long run, just my curiosity...

I think the soil was too damp because the 2002 took forever to germinate. I am a rookie grower but have been growing JOLs for the past 20 years. Doing something new this year.

Oh nice, me too. Looks like you went whole hog with the death star. I'm using my training wheels with the measly NC record last year of 1458.

I am going all in on big genetics on AG/Squash. The MN squash record is a measly 1147 pounds. My pollinator for the 2002 & 1836, H/J 1201, was small because of plant issues. I haven't seen it crossed with a 2145 when I look at past weigh offs. I can't wait to see what happens.

Your pollinator will not affect this years fruit, only offspring of those seeds if they are planted

My 2002 sprouted at the time as all my other seeds. It was quite different from the very start and I grew the backup. Sorry gang....I'm out.
