Just curious how many of you plant your giants in the same spot every year and how many rotate locations. If you do rotate, what schedule do you use?

I have been in the same spot for 4 years now. I do not have any other place to move to at the moment. I make it a point to monitor soil nutrition levels as well as constantly having plants growing in the soil. Whether is pumpkins or my cover crop, there are always living roots present. The roots feed the soil biological life, without roots you lose biodiversity somewhat quickly which I feel leads to a greater potential for damaging pathogens to grow in population.
If I had the space a four year rotation would be optimal in my opinion.

I'm mostly concerned with disease buildup. I know some of that stuff can remain in the soil for years even with cold winters.
