636 McIntire 99...might be orange 1702 Sherwood 17...might be orange and heavy 263 Clayton 17...1103 Zaychowski 16 x 1462 Gibson 07 (both parents orange and good & healthy plants...my best cross last year, perhaps)
Those are my top 3 probably will plant only 4 total.
Anyone else struggling to decide? Do you wait until the last minute ...?

4 plants total, 2 pumpkin, 2 squash. The pumpkins will be 2150 Skinner and 1794 Cotterman. The squash will be 1807 Holub and ?. Hoping to get an 1844 or 2118, if not, it will be a 1511, 1403, or 1397 Haist. The backups are in question, those will depend on what my dad picks out of my stock.

Definitely planting a 2002 Tobeck. Possibly two of those. And two squash as well. I have all of the Jutras and Holub crosses to choose from. Really want to make sure it goes green so probably go with a selfed 1844 offspring like the 2118 or 1807. Lots of time to decide though.

ron and i really like the holland cross from his north american record. in reality though --- so many great crosses in the 1,800 and up group that depending on what(where and how) you do with them? they all have great potential. and--for you orange lovers? there is plenty to choose from as well. everyone go pb in 18 pap

So far I have it narrowed down to four seeds. I've got room for four plants and enough time to grow two...lol. I would also like to try a seed from one of my own crosses (1824 Shenona × 2075 Connolly). I haven't decided how many plant yet but here's my list 2363 Holland 2002 Tobeck 2150 Skinner 2043 Clementz

If I grow a pumpkin it will be my 1109. If i grow two..i have seeds from the 2624,2362,1625.5, 1385...etc. Probably only one kin though. Tomatoes for sure to be grown..8.61 sutherland,8.41 MacCoy, 8.36 Boudyo,8.22 Marley, 7.07 Qualley, 5.85 Boudyo, 7.33 Hunt, 6.13 Zappa, and at least 8 of my seeds from last year. As of today...one pumpkin planned,40 tomato plants, one watermelon, 5 onions, 1 cucumber, and 2 carrots. I cant help it..I find tomato growing more interesting.

I'm with you Q-tip. A year off is our plans. A few mater plants & maybe a couple seeds from the other giants. Our soil needs a rest & some TLC if we are ever to breach the 1-Ton mark. Good luck to all in 2018. We'll be cheering for you from the sidelines for the 1st time since the early 1990's.

Framac I have a 1225 x 1462 Gibson cross I made last year. 1462 was my overall best plant out of around fifty plants. Yours was good plant too I remember it wasnt orange though. It was white or maybe yellow...thick-walled type. Email me if interested? I can send to you.

I'm thinking about growing mine 24 ft apart, growing them directly towards each other, then pick whichever plant has the better blossom at 10-12 ft. I think I will be able to somewhat judge the shape and color, etc. at a few days after pollination, and then I can maybe carefully cull out the worse pumpkin and plant, or if both look good... I could set it up to grow two smaller pumpkins instead. I want an 800 lb out of a 150 sq ft patch, but I'd take two 400 lbers... each from their side using 75 ft. For me, 400 is a size I can handle relatively easy and also sell.
I wish everyone the best. I couldn't brainstorm very well without you guys, thanks.

Haven't decided yet. Either the 777 Young or the 993 V/M. Both are aging seeds that need to see dirt ASAP. Saving my 692 for 2019 since the seeds are new and not at any risk of aging germination troubles.

Nice choices for ORANGE Farmergal and they are getting older and harder to germinate.
