Going to the Illinois Specialty Crop Growers Conference on Wednesday. goes on all weekend but Wednesday has a

all day special set of seminars for pumpkin growers. Seminars on Insect, Weed, Disease, and wildlife Management. Also new varieties, ornamental corn selection, nutrient management and production and marketing. The pumpkin seminars occur every other year. Gives all the lastest on new insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides and all the University of Illinois pumpkin test plot data. Last part is basically a roundtable where you can ask questions.

This is one similar we have in Southern Ohio. There is also the OPGMA conference in Sandusky Oh that covers all veg crops as well.
