Nice Pic T, always like the child on a punkin shot, cute lil girl. G-acid is plenty potent, I have used it for other applications and it works well, have you or anyone ever used SUPER THRIVE ?

I use superthrive in all of my water applications.. Very small amount for very big results.. I like it.. Additional hormones and trace nutrients have not been a harm to any patch from what I have heard.. Took me 3 days just to read how the company brags this product up!

The company does boast quite a bit; however, a friend and I were putting in a garden for his elderly Granny and we both started tomato, pepper and eggplant, all my seed, when we met at her house, there was such a difference in the plants I started with the superthrive and the ones he had used only fish emulsion on that we both were surprised, side bar, coons dug up and left the fish emulsion starts to die.As far as the 3 days to read, took me longer, Bumpys eyes BAD!!

Mr T. your daughter is adorable. Nice Pumpkin too. What a great photo!

I use PGR's on lot's of things. I have some SuperThrive in the garage. Never used it on pumpkins though. I won't either unless I can find a guaranteed analysis for the stuff. I checked MegaGro & discovered the same thing. No link to a specimen label. I'll send them an email tonight & see if they'll share the analysis with me.

But maybe someone here has a full text label with guaranteed analysis they can post here?

Thanks T. That's interesting. MegaGro then is just a GA3 containing material. But the source is not the vastly more popular Gibberellic Acid which is naturally occurring in plants.

I wasn't familiar with Potassium Gibberellate so I did a search. This material is most commonly used as an enzyme activator to stimulate the activation of yeast in commercial bread baking.

I suspect this is because MegaGro is targeting the indoor houseplant market at the retail/consumer level. This formulation is presumably more forgiving than the more common preparations. I wasn't able to find anything to support those claims. But that doesn't make them untrue.

I like the fact that it is straight gibberellins rather than a blend with other auxins, etc. Not that the other PGR hormones aren't good for pumpkins. But rather it offers control to folks who would prefer to alter ratios based on the physiological stage the plant is in. Remember the "sink/source" thread?

Now all we need is a specimen label for SuperThrive. Their promotional material is just about as useless as can be imagined. The claims they make borders on the snake oil salesman in his traveling gyspy wagon at the turn of the lsat century circus! See their website & tell me it instills confidence! LOL

http://www.superthrive.com/page1.html

I have never seen a less specific set of grammatically incorrect information in my life! LOL

Example:

$5,000. Guaranteed to be World Champion

This would imply a large cash payment if you don't grow a champion. But the savvy marketer who authored the label placed a period after the $5,000, rendering the statement meaningless. I can't stand misleading stuff like that.

tremor as you may know in order to process gebberellic acid it has to be done with alchole. thats why i realy like megagro. no alchole.
