Ok so as It looks right now for "2004" Growing season Patch number "ONE" will be getting an
1081 Wentzell and an 1178 Wentzell
Patch number "TWO" will be getting an 620 Boyton along with an 386 Boyton
Do I attempt to get a " fruit " from each plant YES = total of 4 Pumpkings for 2004.
Ok question is the 1081 Wentzell Would I be better off Pollination off the same plant ( male flower to female flower on same plant 1081 ) or do i pollinate an
1081 to an 1178 ?
or does this really matter?
basically what i'm getting at is there any harm of pollination from a male flower to an female flower on the same plant or it doesnt really matter ?
I'm REALLY looking forward to the "2004" growing season and will have a diary set up as well so you can all see how my progress is going :-) later DaveM

pollinating a female with a male off the same exact plant is called selfing. genetically it's perfectly compatible to do.
