Ok Over the past couple of Weeks Ive been recieveing
seeds from Other board members.

Heres what ive got and what I want to know is what seed (s)
are my best choices to pick for "2004" growing season for the climate i live in.

i'm located in " Ontario Canada"

and our growing season starts after the last frost which is usually the May 24 Long weekend.. But for the past couple
of years I havent gotten the gardens in till second or third week in June :-( and the growing season usually ends
in early Sept :-(.

So here are the seeds I have and what would you suggest for my 2004 growing season

I bascially have just enough room for 4 plants ( 2 gardens which are very large) so need to pick

and if anyone knows anything about these seeds or what size pumpkings were grown from these seeds let me know

thanks again

DaveM

Dave, check out Boily's diary to find out more about your Boyton seeds. Ben says the 620 consistantly pops 600 pounders and his 301 was grown on his 845 Bobier which also produced a 950 on the same plant.

Dave,

With that line up of seeds you appear to be in good shape. If you are going with 4 plants, I'd go with the 1081 Wentzell, 1178 Wentzell, 620 Boynton and the 386 Boynton (or the 130 Neuville) and be a good sport and sent the 940 Wentzell to Gad's!!

Good luck in 2004/Glenn

Ok..now I remember. The 124 was a seed fruit I kept on a culled plant. Its 568Andrews* x self.I grew it in 2000 on my 568plant that looked better and grew better than my 722Holland(which produced my 455 seed) but since the Holland cost me 52 dollars at auction I cut the 568 back to a 4 foot side vine and kept the fruit. The 568 was my attempt at a hybrid vigor cross...it was 738Stellpflug squash (an inbred line of squash) x the 1092Burke98 pumpkin...an inbred+ selfed 935Lloyd line. The 568 grew Joe's 798lb pkn in his first year at this. The 568 grows squash and pumpkins.Dont know what a selfed 568 will do but there's good genes there........G
