I grew a 1172 Greer last year that was 900 lbs on Aug 20th and was still growing 25 lbs per day. I took a weeks vacation and while I was gone it rained very hard and my tarps blew down. Where the wet tarp was touching the pumpkin, it started to rot and when I got home I couldn't save it. Ouch. It took a few cold ones to get over that.

I am probably going to grow it again this year. That seed clearly has potential.
