Peter, Herzlichen Glückwunsch zu deinem 878 Beauchemin!!! Jetzt hast du neben deinem 802 Dill einen weiteren geprüften Samen für nächstes Jahr! Der 878 hat sogar schon einen Nachkommen über 1000lbs! Weist du schon, welche Samen du pflanzen wirst? Wie viele Pflanzen insgesamt? Viele Grüße, Martin

Danke Martin ! Ist der Nachkomme den Du meinst der "1005 Jenkins"(=color and shape)? - Do you know the cross of the 1005 Jenkins (= 878Beauchemin x ? )? By the way: in which year the 878 has been grown? I`ll have 3 patches next year (maximum 4). But I don`t know which seeds I`ll plant. I`ll be on vacation the next two weeks and I think I`ll have enough time to think over the crosses for my 2004 season. Peter

Thank you Werner for your congrats. I hope not to grow the second biggest pumpkin in Germany, but I hope to grow the second biggest of the world ....haha! - Peter P.S: Does anyone know the "male flowers" which come into question for pollinaton of the 1005 Jenkins (open = ? ).

"Open" means your guess is as good as mine. I pollinated the 1005 after I noticed the flower was open for a couple hours. I didn't bother keeping records of the males because I knew it was a good chance it was already a open pollinated.
