            | Giant Veggies | Sask, Canada | Well I thought I would open the doors on the new WCPGA and the wcpga.com members website a few days earlier than planned.
Here are what others are already saying.....

"I love the elegant, uncluttered look of the site. Head and shoulders above any other pumpkin organization site I have seen."

"The site looks good, easy to navigate."

"The site is Awesome, I love the interviews, I've read them each twice and I'll do it again."

"WOW, that site is un-believable, can non Canadian's join, please.

So what are you waiting for go check out the site and learn all about the newest pumpkin growers association, WCPGA.

You can access the members area for FREE with info posted on the main page, every thing is explained on the wcpga.com website.

            | Mark in Western Pa | South Western Pa | You need to update your membership page; in the first sentence it explicitly says “Any resident of Western Canada”.
Definitely does not seem like “anyone in the world” can join.

No updating needed, please look at the two types of Membership.

 Associate Membership:

Any resident of Western Canada who is under 18 years of age or any person, association or corporation who support the objects of the WCPGA is eligible for admission to membership as an associate member. An associate member is entitled to all privileges of membership except the right to vote at meetings and be elected as a director.

            | Giant Veggies | Sask, Canada | NOTE:
After consideration of Mark's post above I have made a few changes to the membership page so there is no confusion.

I don't know what you meant by your post, but would point out that the WCPGA is Incorporated as in a business corporation.

Under Canadian law a person under the age of 18 cannot make legally binding contracts, decisions etc. and as well cannot hold a seat as a director of an incorporation as per
 The Non-profit Corporations Act, 1995.

There for to allow our younger growers access to membership of the WCPGA we have set-up membership as such so that they may as well take part, just not in a capacity to vote or hold office like is stated above.

That is how we AVOID discriminating against our younger members as they still have full privileges like the regular members and they even get to pay the same amount. This class of membership also allows us to accept members from any place in the world while still retaining control in Western Canada.

            | BenDB | Key West, FL | It was kind of a joke, but I still think its a silly rule.
 The website does look good.

You guys went through the work/trouble of becoming a non profit organization? You have to pay money to do that don't you? Why was it worth it to you? Maybe its different in Canada.

I'm must say we're not crazy about membership fees, but we always support our club so, whats up with reduced entery fees for members? Does that mean even if you are a member you still have yo pay to weigh?
