            | saxomaphone(Alan) | Taber, Alberta | Christmas time is here and I've been asked what I would like to get in order to help me grow big pumpkins. Any suggestions out there as to what someone could pick up at the local greenhouse or hardware store that would help a new grower? I have my ideas, but I'm wondering if you could give your suggestions to us just starting out in this sport. Thanks, Alan.

            | the gr8 pumpkin | Norton, MA | I am really and truly asking for A. a trip to the Niagara falls winter event. B. a 20 yard dump of manure. Or C. cash to spend at the seed auction. Let somebody get the expensive stuff FOR me is how I see it. LOL! | 11/25/2003 6:02:56 AM |

            | dincubus | Aberdeen, SD | I know what i want. i know what i will not get. so i guess i will have to deal with it. and if i am lucky i will at least get a place to grow here next year. just not where i would have hoped to, oh well such is life | 11/25/2003 8:22:31 AM |

            | pumpkinpiper | Bemidji, MN | If you don't have already, THE thing to ask for is volume 1,2 or 3 of How to grow giant pumpkins. it's the bible on our hobby and very informative.Steve | 11/25/2003 8:28:11 AM |

            | steelydave | Webster, NY | I want Santa to bring me a good pumpkin lifting tarp. | 11/25/2003 8:47:54 AM |

            | Green Rye | Brillion Wisconsin | A good quality pump-up sprayer always comes in handy and would make a nice gift. The kind that strap on your back would be great. It seems every year I'm buying garden hose/soaker hose. A 100 ft of each would be a good idea. A gallon jug of Neptunes Harvest Fish/Seaweed would also make a good gift. A watering timer, soil heating cables the list goes on and on. Pumpkin growers are easy people to buy gifts for. Dean o

            | Think Big | Commack, NY | and 18 wheeler full of manure.......OH YEAH!!! | 11/25/2003 9:04:55 AM |

            | JMattW | Omaha, NE (N41-15-42 ) | If you don't have one, you'll want to make sure you have a tiller. Dean's idea was good too about the sprayer, but you can get battery powered sprayers that don't require pumpkin. Might have to fill up a little more. That's on my list this year in case any of you are shopping for me. :-)

            | svrichb | South Hill, Virginia | I want a BPTV DVD. If I'm not making the family watch it on Christmas morning I will be very sad indeed. After the BPTV DVD we will all watch my 2003 Holland video that my wife better have remembered to order:) After that they will probably be sleeping and I will probably be watching them again.
And if I can't get that I'll settle for world peace....but I rather have my BPTV DVD. I've been really really good this year.

            | Mr. Bumpy | Kenyon, Mn. | Hey Paul! Haven't heard from ya recently, Well I have plenty of hair, kids never did listen and I have to excuse myself from work for "excusable" reasons, so other than seed, all I need is my health, flu bug recently and have felt lucky to meet each new day, TURKEY DAY FINDS ME MUCH BETTER:<) | 11/27/2003 7:14:30 PM |
