            | svrichb | South Hill, Virginia | We've already lined up three of the four pumpkin seeds for the growing contest and they are going to be very exciting to grow:
978.6 Berard 2003 (810 Dill x 854.6 Berard). The perfect pick for orange lovers. Beautiful pumpkin.

752 Blair 2003 (845 Bobier x 1260 Weir). Alot of people looking to plant this cross.

XXX Beachy. A yet to be announced Beachy cross. Don't worry, I'm sure it will be a killer.

I need one more pumpkin that could stand a chance against the three above. Also I need two different squash seeds......anyone willing to call Welty and Hester? :)

I also have some nice prizes on the way but I will post those after I get them. I'm looking for more prizes if anyone can contribute. I would prefer to have seeds already in your posession instead of promises of future seeds. Also I would prefer not to have large quantities of the same seed.

            | The Pumpkinguru | Cornelius, Oregon | I'll put in the 675 Hester 02 for squash if you all need squash seeds. I also will put in my 481 Hester 03 (582 Hester x 846 Calai) for the pumpkin competition. It is not a bad cross, and the color should be great.Let me know guys and gals.

            | Nic Welty | That State Up North | I am hereI will donate most any of my true green squash to the project. I think my 312 is the best, has thrown 700+ true green, but I also have other good squash like my 752.5, 636, 615 ect
Other killer crosses of mine, if you want another cool pumpkin to try:
 829 Welty '03 1337 x 845
 and the clone monster
801.5 Stelts x 1337 at 720 lb, largest clone fruit ever grown
I have hundreds of other great ones in addition to those like the 801.5 clone x 974 Mettler
I am always glad to help out

            | Tiller | Sequim, WA | I would be willing to put up my 576 Michalec 03 Squash seed. It's 837 Thorson X 895.5 Hester. It was a nice green color and should throw green with the Hester pollinator, I had a good seed count with this one. The 895.5 fruit blossom split at 300" OTT and had very few good seeds. I could also offer the 691 Michalec 03 pumpkin seeds. This was 1026 Holland 00 X 940 Mombert 98. A reverse of the 582 Hester. | 11/24/2003 2:17:07 PM |

            | cliffrwarren | I'm with Gordon... GO UTES! | Hi all...

I'm probably late to the discussion, but what does this
mean? That is, are you sponsoring a contest where people
sign-on to grow each of these four seeds? Seed-to-seed,
mano-a-mano as it were? See who does best with the four
 chosen seeds?

 How can I enter?

 Regards, Cliff
