            | Tree Doctor | Mulino, Oregon | It's time to get your entries in for the these two contests that were running for this year. The Big Kahuna contest is for the largest pumpkin/squash grown by a PGVG member ($200 first prize!) The '100 Proof' contest is for the largest pumpkin or squash, grown by a PGVG member off of a 2002 Oregon or Washington PGVG member's seed. ($100 first prize!). Please send your entries to: [email protected] by November 30th to be elegible. Send me the weight, parentage and location of the weighoff sight with your entry. Remember it must have been a sound fruit and weighed at a legitimate contest. | 11/22/2003 11:42:50 AM |

            | Gads | Deer Park WA | Jim,
Can a PVGV member grow his/her own seeds from a fruit weighed at a PGVG site and still be eligible? Can the fruit be entered in open competition and still be a winner in the Big Kahuna or 100 Proof contest? Can I get some of your seeds? :)

            | Tree Doctor | Mulino, Oregon | Gads, yes to all, although I'm not sure about that last question. That all depends on if I can get some of yours :) There is only (1) prize, winner take all. We want to know all of the pumpkins grown if possible, off of PGVG member seeds, so enter no matter what. Hopefully, we can increase prizes in the future. | 11/23/2003 10:37:02 AM |
