            | Engel's Great Pumpkins and Carvings | Menomonie, WI ([email protected]) | It helps feed andenergize the soil microorganisms, which in turn form the neccesary acids to break down the organic material in to usable humus. Summertime applications increase the BRIX(sugar) of the plant. Making it more resistant to attack from insects.. I used 1/4 cup with 2 gallons water, along with my 1/4 cupfish and kelp mix. I did not have any cuke beatles this year. That could also be from the fact the cucumber beetle patrol(chickens) were allowed to forage in the patch at least once a day. I will use it again next summer | 11/16/2003 2:23:33 AM |

            | CEIS | In the shade - PDX, OR | Rock - Molasses is a Bacterial food resource
What to add to support additional bacteria:
 1. Simple sugars such as table sugar, syrups or molasses.

 2. Molasses - There are a few humic materials in
molasses, giving molasses the dark color. Blackstrap molasses contains more of these humic materials than less thick and dark molasses suspensions.
