            | svrichb | South Hill, Virginia | Now that the weighoffs are over and fightin' season has begun I thought I would post some ideas of how you can entertain yourself during the offseason.

 1) Cuss someone, but remember to mispell all the bad words. Call me a jackass and I'll get mad, call me at jacka$$ and I'll think it's a compliment.

 2) Don't think before you post. When you get pissed...oh errrr....I mean pi$$ed, type the first thing that comes into your head.

 3) If you are itching for a fight try mentioning how you like to win prize money. The pumpkin growing community is strictly socalist so any mention of capitalist ideals will rain hell down on you.

 4) Offer to sell a hot seed you don't have then see how many people publically denounce you on the message board but privately e-mail you asking how much you're looking for.

 5) Whenever someone makes a post asking for a big name seed follow it up by posting that you would like one too. Who knows, maybe someone is giving away hot seeds and they have more than one. Here is an example.....

Joze: Looking for a 501 Beachy
 svrichb: me too

 or....

Joze: Looking for a 1097 Beachy
 svrichb: me too

 6) Post that you think the 1385 Daletas was a GPC squash.

 7) Post that the seeds from your 88 pound pumpkin are ready and follow it up with a request for a 723 Bobier.

 8) Post that there are seeds for sale on eBay but then give the auction number for someone selling vibrating butt plugs.

 9) Butt into a thread and announce you are offended and will be leaving this site forever then see how many people will apologize.

 10) Hang out in the Featured Grower Chatroom until someone shows up and then start giving a presentation.

            | Tom B | Indiana | How come I am involved in everyone's examples today ;-). I'm looking for some 1097.5, too. Get back with me and lets see if we can trade some other 1097.5's or maybe a 1385 for 2 of them.
 Tom Beachy
PS Loking for 783 Daletas, 723 Bobier, and 846 Calai. Got lots to trade including 1061 Pukos and 1024 Pukos. Not even I (been known to be a weasel) can find the infamous 723 and 846 anymore........

PSS Clinton, if you want seeds this winter Email me and I wont get mad at you if you trade them at some point. Its your mistake if one of them does well.

            | huffspumpkins | canal winchester ohio | Brent, I'm offended at your whole post & I think I'll kick your %^(*$#@ a$$.....oops forgive me...I was typing outloud again. And after someone gives Tom a 783 can I have one ( I'm working out a trade for a 783 in exchange for a vibrating plug).

            | 5150 | ipswich, ma usa | Man
Winter is definetly upon us. :). Brent you forgot one!! Hope you don't mind if I add it to your list.

 11) Tell Pappy and the other southern growers that you cant weigh'em when you want to. All pumkins must now be weighed only at the Topsfield fairgrounds to be considered for GPC pumpkin money and "official weights" Just trying to help out.
 :)

            | CEIS | In the shade - PDX, OR | What about the message chaos theory?
Can't we shift the focus to the Total Lunar Eclipse?

This one time when I was at band camp, there was a lunar eclipse and some one told me I was supposed to plant, harvest spread manure and take my soil sample all durning the full moon.

            | Bantam | Tipp City, Ohio | My seeds are ready from my 42 lb squash. Anyone have an extra 801 Stelts in their sock drawer I'm listening, but you might have to throw something else in that is proven cause these seeds are not for hoardin ther fer growen.
P.S. The 42 lber is open pollinated so they won't last long......

By the way, if no one wants any of my seeds, then I am leaving this site forever, I mean really dosent everyone want a 42lber in their collection?

            | ocrap | Kuna, Id. | No butt plugs left I bought them all. They work great on the gophers, the vibrating underground lets you know how close they are to your prized 30# pumpkin seed. Getting them into the gopher is a trick you have to stand on the back of there heads lift there tails...........and well you figure the rest out on you own.Ken

            | Tiller | Sequim, WA | Wow! You have a 30# pumpkin seed??? Someone call Guiness!! | 11/8/2003 1:30:14 AM |

            | docgipe | Montoursville, PA | At this 'ole doc's age who needs a butt plug? My shakey hand is costing a fortune in shake insulating or vibration insulating soft Scotts. For awhile there when it first started I thought an osculating wipe could get interesting.Damn...saw myself in a mirrow one day and discovered the cheek rouge was not rose colored. Started using more Scotts to get back to natural cheek skin tones. Most of ya all have this to look forward to. So just don't get old.

            | Pennsylvania Rock | [email protected] | Top ten reasons this manure in here is not good for my patch (For you G)10. I don't have a truck big enough to handle this amount of manure.
 9. This manure is so new, it wont be useable for a few years (very hot!)
 8. It is piled so high, No one can reach the top of the pile anymore.
 7. Jacka$$ manure is very low in nutrients.
 6. This manure leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I sample it.
 5. Too many butt plugs located the manure pile itself.
 4. This manure has no milk base in it. I use milk to grow my big ones.
 3. Not sure how bull manure came from Jacka$$es (said in very comical overtone!)
 2. This organic matter, after the winter is over, has no value at all, and serves no purpose.

and the number one reason this manure is not good for my patch.......

 1. It will make all my fruit turn 25 percent green and I will not know ifI have a pumpkin or a squash!

            | Joze (Joe Ailts) | Deer Park, WI | Brilliant post Brent. Hat's off to you buddy. This post certainly has accomplished one thing...the coining of a new term in the pumpkin world...Jackass manure. lol. Basically, mine and Tom's whole business was built on the distribution of jackass manure. | 11/10/2003 9:42:56 AM |
