Some friends and I cleaned and carved a couple of my pumpkins yesterday and one of them has at least two "humped back" defornmed seed. Hubby says that they would probably grow "old smashers" They came fopm my 422 pound Van. I also found the seeds from a 280 est. pound Gardner to be snow white and long and slender. Suppose I'll get "pintos" when I get next years crop of punkins' from the yellow seeds from my Vans and the white ones From the 640 Gardner? LOL (I am almost certain they were crossed this year) At least that was my intention.

Interesting. I carved one last night (707 Toftness) that looks a lot like the 723. There were only 120 seeds but they were HUGE thich & tan! But where all the rest should have been are large finger shaped growths. Hard, yet pulpy with a greenish brown core. Sort of like it should have been a seed but never developed a seed coat. All the hormones I used maybe? I'll post some pics if time allows. Very stange. SPOOKY EVEN!
