Living in San Diego this past week was like a war zone, I'm sure all of the southern california growers near the fires would agree. The entire San Diego county seemed to have been on fire with no sun for days. I pray for all of the people who have lost their homes or loved ones. My house was spared but came within a mile and a half of burning. We lost close to 1500 houses in San Diego alone and my heart goes out to all of these people who have lost everything. I have just returned to my house today. Always remember the great blessings in our lives that we all too often take for granted. May the fires be put out soon. Jim

one a positive note....maybe one day someone will develop a pumpkin that needs fire to germinate...you know...like those pine cones. hey, it always helps to be optimistic.

Good point Bridgette! Maybe that all the heat from the fires will increase the Pumpkin patches microbial activity this spring? Seriously though; I do hope they get a break in the weather soon, people are loosing their lives as well as their homes/livelyhood.
