I am now getting "pop-ups" on this web site which I never had previous to the last two weeks. Is this a new source of revenue?

Is Microsoft Explorer you browser? If so, is the version you're using have a "hot bar"? You'd see it under the location window. My wife had the hotbar added to this computers browser somehow. Popups like crazy. I disable it when I use this one for that very reason.

I don't think it's this website since it doesn't happen after I disable the stupid thing.

Our chat client does open in its own window, kind of like a popup. But we do not run advertisements in their own popups or pop-behinds. The only ads currently on the site are the Amazon affiliate banner, an advertisement for our own t-shirts and a Neptune's banner on the Joe Pukos chat transcript. Buying things from Amazon via our affiliate link does help us so we continue to display it. However, we have no plans to start using popups or pop-behinds.

I vote for a popup with following contents:
Warning: Giant Pumpkin Growing is highly addictive.

I installed the free trial version of ad-shield and haven't had a pop-up in a year on any web site. Well worth a few minutes effort and it is free.

The new version of Internet Explorer 6.0 has a new feature with the browser that blocks pop ups. No need to install any other programs.

You can download the FREE IE 6.0 here....

BINGO Steve!! I accidently added "Hot Bar" and even though
I like the "smilie" faces, I do not like the extra "pop-ups" at every site I go to!
I am sorry Ken for the "misplaced" frustration.
