I am heading out the weekend of Nov 1 and 2 to attend the Punkin Chunkin championship in Millsboro Deleware. Was hoping to stop at a few big commercial pumpkin patches/farms on the route between Ontario and Deleware. Anyone know of any on that route that should not be missed? Am looking for ideas - have been to the Great Pumpkin Farms at Clarence, New York and am interested in similar sort of venues of large scale operations.

No replys - help - anyone know of any good spots - looking for places with the "complete package" sell pumpkins and all the fall stuff that goes with them - but also provide the other attraction that go with it - hay rides childrens activites etc, etc. Looking for ideas for my own pumpkin patch to provide more of an attraction than just the pumpkins themselves. Here are the major cities along the route - must be somewhere worth seeing along this route somewhere ....Watertown, Syracuse, Binghampton NY, Scranton, Bethlehem,Allentown, Philly PA, Wilmington, Dover DE. Any help appreciated. Glenn

Here in CT the commercial growers are about picked clean. Lasgt weekend was the end for finding fruit still on the vine. Fields are now picked & the last of the pumkins are now at the front of the buildings waiting for "adoption".
Though Jones Family Farms in Shelton CT still has their retail assembly together this weekend if you make it over this far.
I would try a google search of the chamber of commerce in each town you listed. That website should link you to the local newspaper. They will have the ads running for those locations still having pumpkins.
