I do not know. Strange though I own one I have never used that feature. When looking at a trailer I would like to see a 2000lb gross, a wood floor and twelve inch wheels including some spring action to kill some of the bump and jump.

The wood floor is easy to screw in load shift blocks. A 6 X 10 will haul two thousand pound pumpkins or three five hundred pound fruits...if the gross is 2000lbs. It will haul aproximately a pick up truck load of manures. My insurance policy permits a trailer with no additional insurance cost.

My personal choice is a trailer that the sides and ends can be removed. This enables fork lift loading from any angle.

no Doc,im gonna use it for hauling manure..the one that i borrowed is rated for 7000lbs..holds 4.5 yds of manure..just that the one i borrowed was an older model...and seemed slow raising it's body..wondering if they improved over the years

thanks

Billy Carlosn here and I just used a home made one last weekend....hauled in 5 loads..each was about 3 to 4 pick up loads of POO.....I have to admitt.it made abig job WAY WYA easier.....and he actually voluteered to haul it behind his truckk.big dodge d truck..could pull anything.....I sent pics to Scotty BUT I think I deleted all the digitals I had of the operation.....Anyways ...it was home made and it was built very very nicely.....raised quickly and dumped nicely!!

i though i wanted on but i found a old c50 dump truck for the same money and bought it..reason being..when somebody wants to borrow the dump turck just tell them the brakes need reworking and they go borrow somebodys elses..a trailer on the other hand..not a bunch of excuses for not loaning it out so they can tear the jack off of it, break the tail lights, not check the grease in the wheel bearings, and on and on and on...
