the seeds might still be ok. Dry them out a.s.a.p. by using a fan. In a few days squeaze them, if they feel hard and full they should be ok.

I had the same condition. I washed the seed over and over, The final wash included 10% Chlorox and another fungicide. My seed were premature but still germinated an average of some 60%. PS...after washing and cleaning them good your hands and arms are very much open celled. You should use plastic or rubber gloves for the fungicide wash and handling.
Only a wild guess here but if your vine or stem rotted it could have fed the pumpkin what it needed to have internal rot. Otherwise I believe it had to be an external crack to the internal part of the pumpkin. Least possible at this date may have been it simply aged, died on vine and rotted in a perfectly natural way the all will in time.

Giant pumpkin growing is kind of like fishing.
You don't land every fish you hook. You don't go full term with every pumpkin you set.
The big one always seems to get away.

i chilled my pumpkins with a tarp and a window ac unit. only during the peak heat of the day.ac steals water from the air and no doubt the pumpkins. this stopped some skin rot on one. the one that went to rot on the vine had sprouted the good seeds and the rest had white funky goo coming out of them. take a deep breath and say "more, bigger, better, next year!". as far as getting big mongo seeds,,,just ask. good luck next year

i had at least 4 good pumpkins, one on the weigh to being over 700, that just plain rotted from the inside-out... just all of a sudden there was a nasty-looking split in the stem-or-blossom-end of the fruit, never actually within a couple of inches of the stem or blossom, usually with telltale soopy-goopy coming out, and the seeds and pumpkin material inside each of them was basically disintegrating. i ahve not had this before, and i intend to send-in a soil sample to find out if i have a major soil disease problem.
when you are picking through the soup of your own goner(s), if you squeeze the seed and soup comes out of the tip, i think that one is probably no good. you may find out otherwise. read the docgipe post above again--"Only a wild guess here but if your vine or stem rotted it could....."
i got a lot out of that post....i hope my soil os OK. 'pal
