Hi to all, and a happy new year!!
Excuse my late reply. I had quite a lot to do occupational and with the baby and Family. Therefore, the pumpkin seeds are moved somewhat into the background.
Some infos about the 2014 Meier seeds:
The first Meier seeds germinated well in Taiwan! How cool is that!
The 2323 Meier (2009 X 2328) had many and healthy seeds in it.
The 2102 Meier (1985 X SIBB) had very many and very healthy seeds in it.
I am happy and proud to announce you the 2102 Meier is going to be the SOTY for the EGVGA in 2015.
So there are about 300 seeds going to the EGVGA. So all the members renewed their membership before Jan 1. Get one seed into the annual seed pack.
This is a nice chance for many proven and unproven growers to get a WR seed. And of course it’s a big chance to have a big count of WR seeds going to many parts of Europe.
( And of course as well to members out of Europe)
The 2096 Meier (2328 X SIBB) had not so many and poorer quality seeds in it. Many of the seeds are not completely filled. I give the seeds a good chance to germinate, but I would predict that these seeds have a slightly lower quality.
I have a selection of the most filled out and strongest seeds from the 2096 separated for the seed auctions. I think its ok to put them into a auction.
So far seed business is going to be really busy!! I sent out many many bubbles to auctions yet. But as it seems a few bubbles did not make the way true the US customs. What a shame.
And I did send out many bubbles to private growers. I was willing to send seeds to growers who start and grow the seed in 2015. I don’t like to give seeds to growers who don’t germinate them itself in the following season.
I have now about 100 bubbles at home ready to send back to worldwide in early January.

Thanks for the update Beni. Seeds have not yet made it to us, but I look for it to happen. It seems bubbles are arriving piecemeal here in the U.S. (so what else is new, right?). Hope ours made it through customs.

The cost for a new grower starting out can be very overwhelming and intimidating..

But at the same time for new grower to have a chance to receive a WR seed. Well that can be very insparying and motivating!

I`m not a member, And I don`t know you. But regardless Its very kind of you to offer such a gift to the EGVGV membership. Happy New Year Beni Cheers!!

A very special "Thank you!" to Beni for making this possible. I am pretty sure we are the first club in the world featuring a world record seed as seed of the year. Thank you for donating so many seeds of your fantastic world record 2102 Meier 14 (1985 Miller x sib) seeds!!

We, as the EGVGA, politely ask you not to be greedy. Only sign up for yourself and don't take away the chance for other growers to grow that seed.

This is a great gesture from Beni, please be fair, so we maybe can do great actions like this in the future!

Vennet beni has said only for renewals before Jan 1st so any new renewals today or in the future won't get this deal, It was a way of stopping exactly what you are mentioning.

Nic: Yes the 2328 plant that produced the 2096 was the polinatorplant for the 2009 that grew the 2323.
