One Dude had the idea to have the auction for the seeds on BP.
I think it is an excellent way for founding the site:

1. the start price for every seed is usual 3$ and when the stock is out every new bidder with higher price gets on the list and the extra money (above 3$) fills the BP budget

3. To stimulate donators of the seeds some percents of the auction price should be given to them (the money stays on BP where the donator could buy T-shirts and similar)

4. the auction lasts for 6 months until the start of the season (there should be two auctions for both hemispheres) so everybody has the same chance to get the seed of choice.

What do you think?

Thanks for the support.

However, we can't break any rules.

We first have to get permission from the Dill's to do an auction. I don't wan't to get too far ahead of ourselves.

Professional courtesy would still dictate notification.

I wasn’t aware of the rules. But if pvp expires next year then it would be possible because I guess nobody would mind the auction that supports the BP site. It is in everybody’s interest to promote the sport.

There is no big money involved anyway:
20 hot seeds for 10$, 40 for 5$ and 200 for 1$ would sum 600$. With 0,5 $ of postage cost for every seed the profit would be 470$. But the fun would be great!

I seem to recall an 845 going for $345 at auction somewhere last winter. That's bigger money than I was willing to part with at the time.

I agree that Howard should be consulted out of professional courtesy. And he probably wouldn't mind if his prior actions are any indication.
