In appreciation for the invaluable assistance and continued support given over the previous few years, and in particular the year 2003, by my neighbour, the pumpkin weighed at the Howell Family Pumpkin Farm on Oct 4th 2003 weighing 1373lbs, is to be officially listed as the 1373 Dueck-Papez.

Brian - Great job! You had the record for awhile. That Ohio pumpkin was on steroids. Good work of two great growers and Canadians.

Thanks for the recognition Bryan, I also learned quite a bit from you this year. I tend to go overboard and you showed me that moderation was better, and also the new pruning and vine pattern you tryed this year seemed to work quite well and will use that next year on my plants.

Classy move guys. And congratulations. That's some accomplishment. Sounds like you both worked hard to achieve this!

Was grown off the 805 Pukos crossed with the 845 Bobier.Should be a good cross to try out, mother missed new record by 12 pounds and the male produced the last world record. I think this is the only cross that both parents have produced 1300 pounders.
