Yeah, the former record was broken twice today and exceeded 3 times...Only trouble was I only held the record for 30 minutes...lol.... John Powers, lobsta, exceeded the mark too.. I won't steal the grand masters thunder by telling the details... Good Job Everyone...Great time!

6 giant pumpkins from Maine that weighed in at Topsfield Fair. 1) 978.6 lbs. Al Berard, Sanford, ( new state record, previous record was 871 lbs. ) 2)906.2 lbs. Billy Clark, Bristol, 3)877.8 lbs. John Powers, Harpswell, 4)764.8 lbs. Elroy Morgan, Bradford, 5)693.3 lbs. Al Cole, Dayton, 6)535 lbs Ron Bechard, Chelsea. PS jammerama, nice talk by you. .

My 978.6 is from the Dill 810 . I thought up WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR about 2 years ago because when the season ends I keep telling myself , I think I can do better than this so, WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR. Al

John and I have both got our licenses to hunt Berard's next year....lol Good job pal and thank you so much for all he help, support and fun here in Maine..You are undisputably the Maine Pumpkin King for another year.... Just remember before taking that year off, the first 1000lber in Maine still remains to be had.........

being in the top 20 at topsfield..#20 to be exact..now that will put a smile on your face..maine put in a good showing..i,ve never had such fun as watching the maine state record get passed around like that..i can't wait till next year..john
