Here are the soil results, but I sure would like to know what is considered normal for ags. Date 24 Sept-03 Enviro-test Laboratories Ag services Depth: 0-6" texture: sandy loam ph: 7.3 E.C.1S:2W : 0.6 E.C. Calc. Sat.Extr. : 1.4 Salinity rating: non saline OM% : 4.7 Nutrients N03N :63 P : 567 K : 2240 So4S: 136 That's it no test for minor nutrients and is So4S salt level??? TTYL Ernie Giant Veggies

Your Potassium levels(ppm) are way high!! Next spring, I would not add any fertilizers with potassium. I believe that it inhibits Calcium from being utilized properly. It will take about a year for the levels to lower to near normal. Been there....done that!! :>)

SO4 is sulfate i'm not sure what the s after it means though. Salt level is salinity rating. i used elemnetal sulpher to bring part of my patch down in pH. 136 to begin with is on the high side of things so peat of some sort might be better off. I just got some peat muck that tests to a pH of 5.6 and 66% OM That would be a better way to lower pH. A & L labs is a good one to use for a more detailed analysis.
