Wow, Ive been getting a lot of pumpkin publicity lately. Got 1st at a local weigh-off a few weeks ago with a 326.5 Lber, got in the paper for that area. Then the local paper in Whitby has taken a few pictues of my patch, but I wasnt there at the time. There are numerous cars stopping by on the road in the middle of a 4 lane highway just to see them(patch is about 60ft away from highway). Then one day about 6 or so huge guys came out of a van then they said they wanted pitures with the pumpkin so send home in Brazil. and a few people that have seen my pumpkin in fairs stopped by and asked if this was the patch of this and that, which it was. Finally just a bunch of other people stopping by and asking questions etc, Im lovin it!!! Just hope nothing happens.....Many of you other growers getting this?..........

As you canread in my diary there were the regional TV-Crew and the Newspaper-Guy in my patch also the regional Broadcasting talking about my BP-Growing. But to all i said "Don´t tell in reports where that is, only the town". Also i planted corn along the way so that no one can see from the way the big golden thing. After the reports i became a lot of e-mails "where is it, can we take a look of" They can, but not in my patch. Next weekend the Pumpkin will go to a farmshop ( i hope so ) and then all who interested in can go there to take a look. Only people i trust have to take a look in my patch.

We live on a state highway. I had to bring home three mid-sized fruit that were at the Durham Fair over the weekend last night. The wifes car was in the way so I did it out by the road during rush hour. We caused a traffic jam what with folks slowing down to look & tooting their horns. Funny.

Also my son's school's pumpkins were phtographed by our local paper for an article that should appear this Thursday. We'll see if they run it.
