In our daily newspaper this week, was a picture of Winston Wyckoff and his 1200 pound pumpkin. He lives near Wooster, Ohio. He is hoping to break the "record" and was taking his pumpkin to the Barnesvile pumpkin festival competition. Does anyone here know him? It sure is one beautiful pumpkin!

I know Winston. He is a great grower and person. He has always been generous with seed and friendship with me. I went to see the 1279.5 weighed. It is an awsome pumpkin.

we met winston wyckoff and he was very nice but seemed very secretive !!!! (but what good grower isnt to some extent). we saw him a few weeks ago and he did NOT NOT NOT let on that he had anything close to that big. what a suprise (now looking back i'm not suprised at all though :) ).

Western Pa.

I grew my first AG back in '98 with one of Winnie's seeds. It weighed only 373.5#, but I was mighty proud of it, and I was tickled to meet Winston at the weigh-off. A few years back, he won a trip to California and Japan for one of his pumpkins! He's just another one of those "Ohio Valley Legends"! He's also "sat in" at a few of BigP's celebrity chats! Hey Winnie, how about hosting a chat for us at Bigpumpkins?
