I was sitting in my patch watching Sun and Sky grow when I noticed tiny pin-pricks of sap on the skin of Sun Green. Not many. Maybe a half dozen. I've seen this on stems before but not on the skin, out in the middle of the fruit. Is it normal? Is she gonna blow!!

Yikes Pappy...she's growing great but that almost sounds like the first signs of cantalouping??? or maybe just some skin splits...just a guess from me...wait till the big guys chime in.

Pap, I just cut my 697 Est today and it's done that for over a month, I mean like, alot....It gained almost 180 lbs in that month and was still growing. The skin on some fruit harden quicker than others and the only way it can grow is to crack in order to expand. Maybe try shading the skin as much as you can and open to the air (not sun) during the day to heal those cracks..My big one has been doing it also, just canteloped up and still gaining.. I don't think you need to worry too much..
