The recommended mix for pumpkins doesn't seem to work so well, how strong does everyone mix ?

What strength version are you using? The % active ingredient should be on the front somewhere in fine print.
Also what insects are troubling you?

I stopped using Sevin completely. There are many other products just as effective that don't burn. No matter time of day I sprayed (and I usually sprayed after sunset), I always got leaf burn. Just wasn't worth it.

Steve, the active is 22.5% by wt. 32 fl oz. Also tried the powder, I didn't care for that any better. I've had vine borers to grasshoppers. I have never gotten a break from the ants at all and the walnut trees next door are full of box elders. I've put up a couple of wind breaks(better late than never) but have never gotten a handle on the ants. If they are 'farming aphids' how do I correct this problem. I have 1 plant, 1 pumpkin, and about 25 productive leaves left. Powdery mildew also blew in dispite my spraying, it got the better of me.
