Since mildew overtook my patch really fast when I was away for 2 weeks, the question is if the plants still get some power from the "wrecked" leaves. The pumpkins are still growing on the main vines and will not be picked before October 3rd (in case nothing else happens). Can the vines without the leaves still do something? They´re all rooted quite good. Or going with a pruned main and the pumpkin alone? Some input is appreciated on this.

If this event happens early enough the vine may give you new growth in which case I elect to keep the new growth and bury the new vine when possible. I think I am seeing late growth directly attributed to this practice.
