I just picked a lumina (white) pumpkin off the fine about a week ago. I kept it in my shed on a blanket ever since. And just yesterday, I went out to check on it and there a thick white substance oozing out of the stem. Also there is a grayish/blue tint to the skin of the pumpkin. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this pumpkin?

My guess is that it was not matured. It is rotting.

Luminas turn whitish/blue when mature. Casper is a better white pumpkin.

Stress on the plant also turns them this shade of whitish/blue green. So if you have not had rain in two months. Your Luminas are blue, such as mine are. Still a nice different pumpkin.
