Joey, I can't say how many he has left, but Bart Toftness' 707 is a consistent performer here in CT. Nice orange color with good shape. Locally bred in Wallingford. - Steve

Joey, I currently have a 901 Hebb in the garden that is growing a very nice pumpkin, uniform shape and color. It is about 500lbs and is not going flat on the bottom. Hope that helps. Todd

Hallo Joey, 1) The following pumpkin has a "very" deep orange colour and a very beauty shape:"1092.0Daigle02 (810Dill99 x 658Emmons98). 2) Or look at the "757.5 K.Companion 02" (771Holland x 810Dill99)---> www.bigpumpkins.com/displayphoto.asp?pid=1503&gid=21 3) The 757.5 K.Companion02 was one of the seeds which I crossed with the 802 Dill 02 (846Calai99x723Bobier99) this year. The result was the 591.9Frei03(uow), weight on a certified scale; it has a uniform shape and deep orange color. If you want some seeds of this pumpkin I`ll sent you some. Good luck for your season 2004 Peter

1092 Daigle has been grown by Börje Gustavsson in Sweden and didn't show very deep orange colour at all, as you can see in his grower diary. Although the 1092 was deep orange, that doesn't mind that her offspring keep that colour as well.

Hallo Carlos ! Your are right if you say "......that doesn`t mind that her offspring keep that colour as well", but the reason why the 1092 Daigle of Börje didn`t show very deep colour was "that he covered his 1092Daigle with a blanket". I am sure you know that no or less light means no or less colour. Peter P.S.: I wish you good luck in Seegräben.

Hi it's me Goblin,
I'm a first year grower of of just regular pumpkins and I'm already hooked. I have a couple of nice ones, relatively speaking. I found this site and have read every one's journals and now, of course I want to try growing the real big ones. I'm very excited about next year.
I read this post and I'd also really love to have some seeds of big pumpkins. My aim is not to grow the worlds largest pumpkin but I would like to grow some really large ones, that have good shape and color. So if anyone would be so kind as to point me in the direction where I could get or purchase a few good seeds, I be most appreciative.
Thank you, Goblin

Hey Goblin,,, Just stay tuned to this Bat Channel... Sorry Had to get that one in there. Later in the fall when we harvest our precious pumpkins.. For the Cost of a few stamps and a small bubble pack envelope, along with a nice note. You will have more seeds than you will know what to do with. I prefer the Big and Orange that you are looking for. If it has 846 Calai, 801 Stelts in its parentage it normally is good color... Then there are those fluke seeds like my Green "Snowball" from an 846 Calia x 805 Pukos. Shannon Engel

my pumpkin j.b. from the 1007 brown has a nice orange color and the shape is nice, but would have been more uniform if it didn't start out growing on a tilt that lead to it growing blossum end down. jb was crossed with a lighter white 620 boyton pumpkin so i wouldn't count on jb's seeds to produce the orange color. sweden-gustavson grew a nice orange round one last year, the old record for sweden, on the 1007 brown as well. got my seed from p & p seed company last year. pricey...$10. maybe someone on bp.com has some 1007 brown from 2001 i believe.

Hi Rainy, shazzy and sazquash and of course everyone else!
Isn't this the most wonderful time of the year for pumpkin growers on this side of the world?
Rainy, you said that I could perhaps get a few of these jack in the bean stock pumpkin seeds, for the price of postage, shipping and a letter of real gratitude. Would this be from you or from other kind folks or from the seed section of this board?
I just grew reg pumpkins this year. Had 3 reach fruition. Haven't picked the largest one yet, but I feel it's time. I'm already clearing out more room and digging to enlarge my small spot and will add amendments and tiller this fall.
Would really love to get some, a few decents seeds for next seashon. Pls let me know about the right way to go about this.
I thank you all and wish you a very great harvest and Halloween.
