Who wiil go there?

Last year I transported my pumpkin, which eventually took second place at the European contest, in a trailer from Germany to Suisse without any problems.
You do not need any documents or permissions to cross the border to Suisse. The only thing that happened to me last year was that the police officers at the border couldn't believe that the pumpkin was real. They even let bomb and drug sniffing dogs check out the pumpkin. But as the dogs did of course find nothing they let me pass the border without any problems.
I will definitely go there this year again. But I will probably not take my pumpkin with me as I will have no chance of winning this year. I would just like to talk to as many pumpkin growers as possible, especially Carlos!
And in my opinion that is what it is all about: friendship.
Furthermore we are only allowed to drive 80km/h with a trailer and by not taking my pumpkin with me I can get there much faster...
Best wishes,
Martin

I would love to go there too. Do you knoe if it is possible to organize this contest in Germany next year?

If I would go there, I would'n propably take my pumpkin either. It is to small (about 200lbs). But I would love to meet all of you, talk with you, maybe somebody will take their seeds to swap(?). I think I would gain a lot of experience.

I've already asked for permission to go, and I will go, if no last time troubles appear.
I would like to take my 950.4 Boyton, of course, but there is still a lot of time till Oct 12th and many things can happen. The other thing is that, as you know, she is very wide and will need a small track to travel into; my brother's van (first choice I thought in) doesn't have enough room inside, nor door width enough either for her. So I will have to find sponsors to put the money for that transport, which is not cheap at all. I'll try to manage it and hope to get it.

If not... I'll take a big picture of the pumpkin. LOL

Carlos, can´t you borrow a trailer for a week? I saw there´s a trailer coupling on your brother´s van. Should be cheaper than truck freight or something.

Thank you for the idea, Ingo. It would have to be a closed and big one, very width. But is a possibility.
