I just harvested a good lot of seed from an 83lb genetics pumpkin grown on a 50sq.ft plant. The walls were 4ins. thick at the stem end,2ins. at the sides and just 1in. at the blossom end. Do you think the distribution of wall thickness inside the pumpkin is luck or hereditary. If it it hereditary are thin walls at the blossom end bad news?

That makes sense.Next year I will take that into consideration when deciding what to grow.
