Has anyone heard any rumors? Is there anything out there that might be even bigger?

How long do they wait before they declaire someone the overall winner? Do they wait for ALL the weigh offs to be over before saying that the 1458 is the new world record or not? Just curious Barb Mitchell

For the record, was the 1458 sound? Or did the split go through to the cavity? 'Cause if it wasn't sound, it doesn't count even if it is bigger than a Volkwagon! Though, even if no one else tops it, it will be the de facto world record in the minds of many...

Romours rumours!!! No I don't have anything close to 1500 pounds but know of one that has the potential to reach that. Yes I help look after it and I gave him the seedling but its not my pumpkin. But again measurements mean nothing until you weigh it.

Acording to weigh off rules at PORT ELGIN last year you must have a pumpkin that hsa no splits or crack,s that go to the cavity if so your weight will be classed as UOW ONLY maybe MR WHITHER has a 1458 lb congratullation BRUCE it is amazing size. ON the hand AL EATON had a 1236 disq last year in ottawa because of a hole in it IF it had been sound AL would have set a new CDN RECORD

934, do you have photos or first hand knowledge of a split or crack into the cavity prior to weighing?
If not then your argument and any comparrison to Al Eatons pumpkin is irrelevant (I am assuming Al's hole went into the cavity)!
Just my opinion.
