Great Achievement to make that mark so far North.
With you up there and Carlos down South all us guys in the middle can't blame the weather any more!

My new excuse is "Pesky Moles".

Congratulations!
Although this pumpkin split it is a great achievement!
I never thought that 1000lbs would be possible here in Europe but this year Mr Gustavsson and Carlos Perez showed us that it is possible!
Best wishes,
Martin

Congrats to the grower, but he should weigh that pumpkin, maybe cutting it (because of the rot) and weigh the pieces.
He published all circumference measurements, but no OTT. Could be even over 1000 or much lighter, I couldn´t resist if it was mine.

He should know the weight of his pumpkin quite exactly as he grew the pumpkin on a pallet positioned on four bathroom scales.

Börje Gustavsson has to be one of the best growers out there, a man able to break his personal best many times. He has grown a great pumpkin from an unproven seed and with a relatively thin stem and vine. For me that means a constant care of the plant day and nigth. I believe no more pounds were possible to put into that fruit; he really knows how to make good use of his green thumb. Congratulations!

Great job Mr. Gustavsson! I really admire the style: perfect steady pace.

Yoooo Borje,
Well done man, a great pity that it never made it to a weigh-off.But still a fantastic effort.
